Pool Closing Form
With cooler temps arriving, it's time to decide if closing your pool for the season is a good idea. Closing your pool for a few months can save you time spent on weekly pool maintenance, money on chemicals, and keep your pool equipment safe during the cooler months. Orenda Technologies published a great article on closing your pool for the season. Read it here.
Please note, we only close in-ground pools. We carry closing kits for your in-ground and above-ground pools.
We will not close pools after 12/5/2025. Please complete this form ASAP if interested.
Winterization Includes:
- Drain pool filtration, heating, and plumbing equipment. We will not drain your pool for you. Please have the water level down 10-12 inches before our arrival, unless you have an automatic or solid pool cover.
- Blow out filtration lines, equipment, install winter plugs, and add antifreeze protection to lines. (14 gallons of antifreeze are included. If the pool needs more due to long plumbing runs or water features, they will be billed accordingly.
- If you have a splash deck or attached spa or both on your pool, you will have an additional charge for labor.
- Install an ice protection container in the skimmer.
- Remove the salt cell and replace it with a blank cell. (If applicable) (Blank off cells are not included.)
- Taking your salt cell off for the winter may help extend its lifespan.
- Closing chemicals sold separately. If you select the closing kit on the form, it will be brought and used during your closing.
- Install pool cover. There is an additional charge for tarp covers with water tubes to be filled and placed around the pool.
Some Helpful Notes:
-
Your pool may turn green during the winter. This can be from unbalanced water before closing, debris left in the bottom of the pool, or not having a cover over your pool. This is normal and can be fixed during opening season, but will require additional shock and cleaning treatments.
-
Your equipment will be inspected, and notes/photos will be taken of issues we find during your closing. We highly suggest fixing certain items during the offseason to save time during the Spring.
-
Additional services not requested on the closing form will not be completed while our techs are at your house. Any additional services will require a separate visit and additional service fee.
-
This is not a pool cleaning. We will net leaves out and vacuum at an additional charge, but we do not clean the pool before the closing.
-
If the pool is closed and the weather is still above 75 degrees for a period of time, there is a good chance that your water will require additional chemicals during your opening. Algae can develop in the water during warmer weather.
-
This especially happens when the pool's water is not balanced before we come to close the pool. Please come to our retail store at 10806 Kingston Pike in Knoxville to have your water tested 5 days - 1 week before your scheduled closing.

The form will allow you to type in weekend dates, but we only close pools during the work week.
